Is Level 2 charging actually enough, or do I need something faster?
For home use, Level 2 is the practical ceiling and it is plenty — a typical EV parked overnight wakes up full. DC fast charging is commercial-scale equipment on commercial-scale electrical service; it does not belong in a house, and anyone quoting one for a garage is selling the wrong thing.
What does the load calculation actually check?
Your service size, the panel's existing loads — central air, electric range, dryer, water heating — and what headroom remains for a continuous charging load. It is arithmetic the code requires, and it is the difference between a circuit that just works and a breaker that trips every August evening.
Can you install a charger I already bought?
Yes. Bring-your-own hardware is common and usually fine — we check that the unit is listed, matches your panel's real capacity, and gets the circuit it needs. If the unit is wrong for the house, we say so before wire is pulled.
Do you handle homes outside the city, like China Spring or Lorena?
